The internet may seem to be an endless abundance of images, of text and of design, that is seemingly in place by chance and is constantly evolving and expanding, providing surfers of the web (as they were once, somewhat primitively, described) even more websites to venture. But, the truth of the situation is, the internet is constructed, much like anything in the tangible world of reality and constructed of something akin to virtual building blocks. HTML is what comprises these websites and the most contemporary iteration of this is HTML5.

HTML5 is a new html coding system that was introduced into the mainstream of html coding in April of 2010, after having long been in production and utilisation by industry insiders for years before. The symbol for the representation of HTML5 is a block type lettering of HTML above a red shield, in which is featured the number ‘5’. This symbol indicates that HTML5 is indeed being utilised upon a website, mainly a feature integral for industry insiders as opposed to casual website browsers.

The features that are utilised within HTML5 coding and that makes it different to its predecessors is, obviously, its technological advancements in allowing the inclusion of many syntactical features (of the syntax of the coding system). These features include the inclusion of video, audio, header and canvas elements into coding and allow the easy integration of these, largely visual and hi-tech, elements into classic and basic HTML coding.

The coding uses of HTML5 is used alongside the creation of many new websites, namely ones that prove interactive, engaging and informative. A number of new elements introduced with HTML5 are also utilised in order to help improve the informative content of websites, so, when utilised together, HTML5 allows better information presented in more creative and eye catching ways.

The mobile phone is an integral component of contemporary day to day living and, with the inception of the next generation of mobile phones, comes the capability to connect to and partake within the wonders of the internet. Yes, the internet is no longer a virtual landscape confined to the computer or the homestead, no, now the mobile phone allows the ability to carry the internet around with oneself and, with this internet capability, comes the option to have and purchase web apps for mobile devices.

There are a range of different web apps for mobile devices and all of which serve different purposes and differing entertainment aims and objectives. They may be apps that help to determine the weather for the next few weeks, perhaps a game app that provides simple, gaming entertainment or, even, an app that determines the future horoscope for a certain star sign, nearly all fields are covered by the vast range of web apps for mobile devices that are available.

The prices for all of the different web apps for mobile devices differ greatly and are as owing to the nature of the application entirely. For example, a web app that is a full game in and of itself, the likes of which could be played on a handheld gaming system, will likely cost more than a simple app that ascertains as to whether someone is ‘Fit or not’. Irregardless of specific pricing, all prices for web apps for mobile devices will more than be worth the price if the service of the app is one that you are looking for.

The fun and uses for web apps for mobile devices are near enough endless, with many companies creating a number of new apps per day for all different iterations of phone. It also ensures that the capabilities of your phone are endless, with new web apps for mobile devices ensuring new uses for your phone and the ability to keep your own phone and keep updating it.

For the Northampton resident, the website is as important to their daily lives as to any other resident of Britain, these great isles, which are as taken with the virtual landscapes of the internet as any other place within the world. So, for these Northampton residents, who are in need of and must have a website, how is there a fashion in which to create an effective website that can represent a persons’ modus operandi, objectives and aims? Well, the recruitment, for residents living in and around Northampton, is Northampton website designers, whose skills in managing html, in computer knowledge and in the ability to craft essential websites are a necessity in the day to day business of website creation.

The workers at Northampton website designers companies tend to very helpful in their aiding of people’s website designs, aiming to create upon the internet exactly what the client has requested in their design outlay and their general website plan. These designs will, expertly, replicate these plans and serve as the best possible advertisement, informative and entertaining modus operandi of whatever it is that the person is requesting that their website be utilised for.

The pricing system for the hiring of Northampton website designers alternates owing to the level of work that is requested of them to be carried out. For example, if a Northampton resident merely requires a small logo designed than the pricing will be cheaper than if an entire website is aimed to be created or if an entire website is longed to be edited. However, despite these alternating prices all the prices for the hiring of Northampton website designers is very respectable and is more than worth it for the creation of a quality website.

A number of different web design tropes are implemented into people’s web designs by Northampton website designers, such as interactive interfaces, images and text, and all are implemented in a fashion that will best reflect the requests made by the specific clientele as to the look of their website.

The whole world has been awash with editorial about the sad passing of Steve Jobs. Without trying to add more to what has been said already, I thought I would say a few words on how he and Apple have come in an out of my life.

First initial contact was with the Apple LC in the early 90’s at Art college, great machine and way ahead of any PC’s. The brand had cool written all over it.

In 1999 I bought my 1st iMac – which was superb, although at times testing due to system crashes, probably down to me rather than the device.

The design of the iMac and the marketing behind it created a great buzz not just about the product but this new thing called the Inter -Web! It was the reason why I work in Web design now and how Armadillo-Web first took shape. I love that machine, created my first website and started a business around it.

The iMac was perfect, it looked the business. had a good operating system, and more importantly it was an INTERNET machine with internal 56kp modem!! Most PC modems I recall were all external drives. This iMac did not need any ugly external modems – it was ready to rock…albeit the internet connection was at snail pace…but who cared!!

The mouse was the cool round shape connected via USB (unheard of at the time), there was no floppy disk drive too. It was stritcly CD based and even the power lead and keyboard was translucent and great detail to good design.

The iMac did it for me all round, a machine for life and work. It still sits proudly but somewhat hidden in my wardrobe. Its sadly-out of action – but every so often its powered up and used for the novelty factor. Even now my youngest daughter is still in awe of the unusual shape and bright coloured design – and she is only 8! good taste!

My journey with Apple went into limbo after 2002, simply because the world of web design was so PC at the time, to test on a PC – it easier to have a grey box. Every so often I would glance over at the new iMac’s with a view to purchase.

To cut a this story short, the next Apple device, was iPhone – which again revolutionised my world – email, internet, phone, music..wikked!! And now ironically on the day that the big man passed away, I have the iPad too. The iPad and mobile websites, apps etc is where it is now.

So, the main thought behind all this, is thank you Steve Jobs, my web experience and business was inspired by you thinking outside the box. Adios for now!

With the .com industry still moving as fast as the click of your mouse, the demand for talented and skilled web designers is growing. In fact it’s essential in the 21st century that any good designer whatever their discipline should have some knowledge of web design. So, whatever your current ability, professional IT training in web design could be essential to your development. The question is just which type of training is best for you?

Choosing the right IT training courses
Whether you’re a complete beginner, looking to update existing web design skills or want to gain qualifications to demonstrate what you already can do, you need to ensure that you choose the right kind of IT courses. Relevant IT training courses can turn an amateur site into a slick, sophisticated one.

Complete beginner
No experience in web design? IT courses that specialise in web design can teach you the creative and technical skills you need to get going. Look for courses that teach the ins and outs of html, graphics, web languages and web page layout. In time you’ll develop the technical expertise to create fantastic web designs that work well online.

Brush up your skills
Web design is an exciting and fast paced industry and so it’s important to make sure your skills are up to date with evolving technology. Whether you’re a working web designer or just starting out, refining your skills through relevant IT training will not only benefit you professionally, but on a personal level you’ll have much more control of your designs.

Are you a business?
Many successful business still have website that look like a cut and paste job, a badly thought out layout or complicated navigation and just doesn’t cut it in the highly developed web world. The visual appearance and technology of your website needs to keep pace. Users are increasingly more web-savvy and expect to be instantly engaged when visiting your website.

We are fortunate to work for some great clients and Franklins Solicitors LLP is up there with the best. We found them a pleasure to do business with.

Franklins Solicitors approached Armadillo|web via a Google organic search. With offices in Milton Keynes and Northampton, they were looking for a local company to work with.

Their old site had done a decent job but management felt it was a bit tired now and needed a complete refresh. The brief included our full web design service, migration of the data and new hosting package.

We took to work by designing mock ups of a modern and fresh dynamic home page/s inclusive of news and social feeds. While the design process was finalised, our developement team worked on backing up the old site, trasnferrring the data and integrating with the new templates.
